Registration with Alabama Science Olympiad Required Once again in 2009, all Elementary Science Olympiad at Jacksonville High School teams will be required to register through the state office. The cost is $35 for new teams which includes a copy of the ESO Coaches Manual (published in 2004). Returning teams that do not need a new manual (the manual has not changed since last year) may register for just $10. To register with the Alabama Science Olympiad, simply visit the ASO home page, print out the registration form and mail it in. The deadline for team registration is January 14, 2009. Registration with ESO at Jacksonville High School Required The Elementary Science Olympiad at Jacksonville High School charges a separate team fee to assist us with financing our growing competition. In order to offer a fair fee for teams, both large and small, the fee for competing teams will be computed on a per-participant basis. ESO at JHS will assess $3 per participant fee, paid in one lump amount by each team. Therefore, a team with the maximum of 24 students would owe $72. A team with just 10 students would be charged just $30. This fee will be due on the day of the Olympiad. Cash or check payable to Jacksonville High School. We will be happy to provide an invoice prior to the Olympiad to assist with processing payment and/or a receipt upon payment on Olympiad Saturday. For reference, please note that Division B and C teams (middle school and high school teams) pay $120-$145 per year to register for regional tournaments, a portion of which assists with financing those competitions. Schools registered for the ESO at JHS with the Alabama Science Olympiad will be contacted individually regarding JHS-specific fees. Any Questions?
