Registration with Alabama Science Olympiad Required Once again in 2008, all Elementary Science Olympiad at Jacksonville High School teams will be required to register through the state office. The cost is $30 per team which includes a copy of the ESO Coaches Manual (published in 2004). The new manual includes several ESO at JHS originals that have been adapted and published alongside traditional favorites. To register with the Alabama Science Olympiad, simply visit the ASO home page, print out the registration form and mail it in. The deadline for team registration is January 11, 2008. Registration with ESO at Jacksonville High School Required After years of free registration for our Olympiad, Jacksonville High School will impose a small fee on each team to participate in ESO 2008 at JHS. The fee will range between $30 and $60 per team, likely based on the number of team members. For reference, please note that Division B and C teams (middle school and high school teams) pay $100-$125 per year to register for regional tournaments, a portion of which assists with financing those competitions. Our previous source of revenue, the food service, will be dramatically scaled back as a result of this change. Complete details will be available in the coming weeks.
